ABOUT ME
Hello! I’m Kathleen Huff, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #97210 and Registered Play Therapist #T4324, based in San Diego - here to guide you through life’s ups and downs. I truly care about my clients’ well-being and provide services catered to their needs.

Since 2012, I have provided a number of specialized therapeutic services to those dealing with challenging life experiences. I received my Masters in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2014 from San Diego State University. My specialities include children, adolescents, young adults, mood disorders (anxiety and depression), ADHD, LGBTQIA+ and providing caregiver support.

As a therapist I work to increase my cultural understanding and awareness. Social justice has always been a passion of mine, and I work to advocate for those in our community who are underserved and underrepresented. I work to stay culturally competent and ensure all people sitting across from me feel safe and free to be their authentic selves.
I completed my play therapy certificate through the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) Extension Program and became a registered play therapist in 2019. I work to incorporate fun and play into my sessions. Mindfulness trainings through UCSD Center for Mindfulness have assisted me in my own life and are something I draw on to support my clients in theirs.
I look forward to getting to know you better!
